this time last year i had a 1.3 ka with a 421 manifold, and a few bits and bobs. since then its had a 1.3 turbo engine with 120bhp, a 150bhp 2.0 zetec engine and now im feed up of swaping engines each time i want more power, so im hopeing this will stay one will stay.....
a few people have known i was planing on fitting a FRS engine, so hears some pics of how things are at the mo:
the shell
the gearbox is a CTS stage 2+ ib5 with a quaife ATB dif. same spec as sunnys 178mph Fiesta rs turbo. and 500+bhp. im hopeing to bolt it in the week and bolt all the parts i have around it. i still havent made up my mind on cooling. i have a pace charge cooler, but im gunna try and get a rs500 rad and intercooler in there 1st. the engine mangment side of things is goign to be something like pectal or omex.
this will be sweet as, lovely garage you have there was i had something like that so i could just sit and play with my KA all day, What did you do to the old engines?
safe joe, garages looks better with the painted floor. its massive you know, i was shocked how big it was. and its in the middle of nowhere, but still he gets complaints from neighbours, for too much noise lol, people now adays ehy,

thanxs guys. the box is only painted! CTS did it all while they had it. getting some hispec brakes 300mm with bells over the weekend, only got the std brakes at the mo! should be in next week, just need to mount the alternator and get a belt.
lol the kart frame is being painted, its a twin engine kart with a 30bhp shot of nitrous
il get some pics up over the weekend. the engine is in, inlet is done and fitted. wiring is almost done, seats are in, brakes are on, wheels on, gear linkage done ect........
need to sort out a rad, intercooler/chargecooler (cant make my mind up) might put rad in the boot!
im away with my work next week, week after it should be running. then maby 2 weeks after that it will be ready for mapping!
