Bonnet lever fallen off?!

Hello I have a 99 plate KA with a red lever underneath the steering wheel to open the bonnet. I slightly knocked it once and the whole lever fell off into my hand, and I now have no idea how to get it back on! It has small wires which I think are supposed to hook onto something inside the steering wheel but it's hard to see where. Has this happened to anyone before lol? I hardly touched it and it somehow fell off. Also how do I get it back on? Am I best taking it to a garage where they might have more experience in this?
Thanks, Jenni

[poll] Damn! the insurance is expensive here!

Hi all,

I think this year the insurance companies want to rip me off even worse than last year!

I moved to the UK 3 years ago and only in 2009 I bought a car here, a Y-reg Ka (2001, Collection series).
I thought I was getting a particularly good deal with the car purchase itself, so I bit the bullet and paid £540 for that first year of insurance with Virgin Money. I Compared the Meerkat (tm) and found they were one of the few who did not add to the premium because of the EU license (as if I should be thankful for not being discriminated ...)
This year, well in advance of the renewal date I've been to price comparison websites to find that even adding 1 year of NCD the price will be around £750!

I've made more simulations to try and find out what is going on. I tried simulating with a newer car, tried to add additional NCD years, tried to say that my license is full UK (I could pay the fee of £50 to replace my current one)... and nothing. The typical price is about £1000 and the cheaper ones are around £750. I cannot believe this!

What kind of insurance are you guys paying? have you noticed a price increase for this year as well?

nplima

AirCon blowing cold then warm air

I have a problem with my air-con (2004/04 model)

to begin with the air blowing out wasn't very cold and after a couple of minutes would turn hot.

so, I got it regassed at kwik fit and they filled it saying it was very low to begin with.

now it's made a big improvement but there is still something wrong.
Firstly, it isn't as cold as I think it should be.
Secondly, after about 10 minutes it seems to give up and then I get hot air.

Any ideas? I'm not sure kwik fit are the best people to take it back to.

I don't want to get ripped off
